Hello all,
I am a citizen since 20 years. I had married abroad and for almost 10 years. I have 3 children with my wife. my children are all citizens by birth. my wife has no PR nor Canadian citizen. she had applied for a visit visa to come here to Ontario and visit me for sometime. she is working currently as a teacher and had been for more than two years back home. her visa was rejected because the officer didn't feel like she would be returning from Canada when here temp. visa expires. 179/b and her application was rejected. now she had done the biometric and is valid for 10 years. what should I do???? why did her application get rejected even though she can be eligible to apply for spousal sponsorship.??? it didn't make sense to me....can anyone help and explain what should I do next???
your responses are highly appreciated.

Because you are a citizen, IRCC suspects your wife wants to use the visitor visa to come to Canada and remain here long term. It's not at all unusual for TRVs to be refused in this situation.

If you want to bring her to Canada to live here, then I would recommend you sponsor her for PR.

If you want to apply for a TRV again, then I would strongly recommend that you first order your GCMS notes to see the detailed reasons behind the refusals. You will need to overcome these refusal reasons if you want to try applying again.
