it iwll never go away
its hard for people to get score in ielts
I am sorry to say but with the current administration(Trump), it's going away. Moreover, It's not that hard to score CLB 9 if you have stayed in the US for a few years.

Does re-evaluation help? I have given IELTS twice and my scores are -
LRWS -

8/9/7/7.5 - 1st attempt
9/8.5/7/9 - 2nd attempt

My score is at 444, I need to improve my writing to 7.5, should I ask for a re-evaluation?
If you have the money to spend then sure, go for it. However, 444 is a pretty good score. People are panicking because the scores have risen, however, they rise and fall just as the stock market. You just have to sit tight and wait for your turn, eventually it will come. The scores have been at around 440-450 in the past year so it's very likely that you will get an invitation in one of the next draws.

Thanks for your reply! I'll wait for some time in that case. :)

Definitely, your mind needs a break from the mental stress. You are so panicked about scoring high that it just adds more pressure!! It's basically like finding your lost car keys, no matter how hard you try you will never find it when you really want it but once you have relaxed and forgot about it, it just pops up out of nowhere :D

I would advise take a small weekend break with the family and go on a trip or to dinner or a movie, have a little fun to relieve your stress.
Haha! Well said. :D

Pre-Assessed..
Yes
That score is actually quite good and likely to make upcoming cutoffs. It's my understanding that earning points by learning French is not an easy task and isn't likely to happen within 1 year. I think most will agree with me that you're safe if you just for the next round or two.

No draw today? It seems like they're planning to keep the scores from 445-450. Even IELTS retake won't do anything to your profile How sad
I'm sorry guys :(

Yes indeed. In this phase they will not meet the said targets
Perhaps, it's going to be like in Australia where the number of quota is just a ceiling and it's up to the government whether or not to fill it. All we can do is pray. :(

In my opinion, CRS score will go up in the next few months as the US government is planning to revoke H4-EAD(approx 110k people) https://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/eAgendaViewRule?pubId=201804&RIN=1615-AC15

Most of them already have ITA/PR but whoever was just thinking about Canada they will now start applying for Express entry which will increase the pool size as well as cut-off.
I disagree, most of them probably already have applied and have gotten PR by now.. Don't worry. However, this is a good reminder to increase your CRS scores as much as you can. Thank you for letting us know about this
