Hi guys, i just want to share a bit of my interview experience in Edmonton office yesterday..

The officer asked me about if i have another child other than my minor applicant, so i said “NO” because what I thought is that “any more children under my application” which is really a no because she’s the only one under my application. I didn’t hear it properly what he meant was “any more children other than my minor applicant”.. then he asked me if I’m still working in the same workplace i put in my application, I said “no” because I’m on maternity leave. He wondered “why are you in mat leave that you said you don’t have any other children?” I told him I gave birth to my second baby last year and that I am sorry i misheard his question.

Does it make sense guys? Lol

Do you think it will be a reason the officer will decide not to give me grant of citizenship? I am really worried since after my interview, i was having a very bad neck pain and headache so maybe that was one of the reasons why I wasn’t focus and mishearing things...

Or I’m just paranoid? My husband keeps telling me it’s no big deal. I passed my test and at the end of the interview the officer made me sign papers and said that “I’m good”. ‍♀️

I believe it's not a big deal. It might have been an issue if the officer couldn't figure out that your family information now says that you have one more child but you are saying no. I think it was clear in the end and that's all that matters. So just relax and happily wait for the oath. I hope you are feeling well now. Good luck!

my wife is kinda in same position... travel in June, PR expires in July, and now just waiting for a response from IRCC regarding passport stamps translation before even talking about oath...so we may have to renew her PR and then just postpone her ceremony if it comes too close to departure date

Hello Friends, Test Passed.

My suggestion for test preparation is, please go through "Discover Canada" a couple of times and start doing online practice tests. There are quite a lot of Practice Tests available when you search in Google.
All the very best.

You can ask for suggestion from IRCC about renewing your PR card by submitting a webform.

Congratulations! Onto the final stage of the journey now. I have updated the spreadsheet. Wishing you all the best for the Oath Ceremony

Hi fellows, any idea on how long it takes for the oath letter/ceremony invitation to come?

Hello
I’ve made my test Feb 19 and passed, but they said “ we will not invite you to the ceremony until your Canadian police clearance arrives, and that could take days to months”
I’ve sent them an email yesterday asking if I can do it myself and send it to them, but they didn’t reply.
Did anybody had this issue?

Hi, I have heard of other applicants on the 2018 spreadsheet being told the same thing. The impression I have got from monitoring the spreadsheet is that some provinces wait to send a test invite out until after they have the police checks completed, while other provinces seem to just go right ahead and get the test invites out and tests / interviews done while still waiting for the police checks to complete. I have heard that there is a bit of a backlog for the checks. I guess it is just a matter of waiting. It is very difficult to summon the strength to have enough patience I know. Wishing you all the best that you get to hear about the Oath ceremony sooner rather than later. I have updated the spreadsheet that you have passed the test test. Congratulations.
