Hi,

My parents came here on visitor visa on 20 Nov 2018, and their 6 months tenure is expiring on 20th May 2019.

I am planning to take them to USA on road on April 3rd -5th, 2019. While re entering via road, will the stay time of another 6 months will be given treating the re entry as a fresh entry ? How does it work? Please let me know.

It will be up to the CBSA officer. The officer may give them a fresh stamp and allow them into Canada for another six months - or the officer may allow them back in based on their original visit ending May 20th.

It is better to apply to extend their stay i.e. about one month before their current visitor status expires
