Any updates yet?
nothing yet on my part. Still stuck on 'we are processing your background check'. God knows how long it will take for bc check. But seeing some June applicants having change on ECAS regarding their processing, I am hopeful will have some news soon too.

Should I be worried?

I am sponsoring my husband and so far our timeline is:

App sent: June 18,2018
Was received: June 19,2018
They started processing as of July 27,2018
He got his OWP: Oct 2018.

Ever since then we havent heard or seen anything else, and I have really been doing my best to forget about it however reading all your posts have started to make me worried. We havent heard for a medical and I wonder if there is anything wrong.

Anyone else in a similar timeline/situation?

Inland June applicants are starting to get medical requests. Get excited!

This waiting is driving me crazy. No news since November 17th when the RCMP fingerprints results were received by CIC.
At least a lot of the May Inland group are now getting their Landing Interview. So hopefully sooooon...

Still no updates. They are still processing the background check as we speak. Do you know what could be the next step if the background check is done?

i think next step should be sponsor approval and then AIP, sometimes its vice -versa. It really depends on CIC

What’s AIP?
Approved in principle / Approval in principle (AIP)

Your application is “approved in principle (AIP)” if:

  • you have received a letter from IRCC stating that you meet the permanent residence eligibility requirements, but
  • you still have to pass the medical, security and background checks for you and, if needed, your family members.

Do you guys think we might get our landing interview in April?
Or May. That would be the latest. Crpssing fingers for all of us!

PS.

What could be the reasons for a denial om this stage? For sponsor/person being sponsored to be ineligible?

I am hopeful for that, especially when you look at the May group timelines. (forget about the June group, they seem to not follow the pattern)
What I don't know is how long it takes to get a PR card after that, or if you can travel without a PR card?
My wife (the PA) wants to pick up her 11 yr old daughter from the old country as soon as possible.
