Hi all,

Finally spoke to an agent today and he confirmed that our eligibility was review required. This could take a week to clear or a few months.

He was really polite and took time to explain the process to me which I appreciated. I imagine it is stuff most of you already know, but I have posted more about what he said in the UK applicants thread to aid some of the newer members there.

In short, he said if you are in RR, there is no point in raising a CSE or calling the call centre, as they don’t have any infor other than you are in RR. He said the only way to find out why was to get your GCMS notes.

I’d go further, you know, I’d say there’s no point in calling them at all, as they never give any useful information apart from what you already know! At least it was like that to me. I’ve called them three times and in all of them they said they’re doing my background check. Not even to tell whether I fell under SS or not, to give my mind a bit of a rest...

Ok, good. Can you think of any issues w.r.t employment and/or POF that you can start gathering documents for? Sometimes they nitpick tbh but that's not to say we don't have to send more paperwork. Good luck and keep us posted!

I
Has anyone else had the dream where you walk into the customer services office at IRCC, find the people who ignore all your questions in the CSEs (including Mathew), and just shout at them for hours? I did the other night and in my dream I came up with some pretty new and novel insults.

In real life I suspect this might hinder my application, but it made me feel better for a day or so.
I had a similar dream, but almost when I was about to shout the officer said your file looks good and you'll get ppr soon. Completed 7 months since aor on feb 10th, and yeah I guess I'm crazy now

Who knows!

We have an Italian wedding certificate, which is in Italian and French, but shouldn’t be a problem.
We couldn’t get a POF letter from our bank (UK banks can be a bit crappy like that), but we sent through six months of statements for the two bank accounts and three credit cards that we had, as well as a summary LOE and the net position was significantly above the minimum.
One of my wife’s jobs was a bit unusual, but the reference was clear about duties and she had enough time and experience elsewhere to hit the minimum.
However, I am nitpicking myself here. I can honestly say that there was nothing like some of the horror stories I have read on here. I am looking forward to finding out what it is myself!

Agreed. I think they should replace Mathew and his gang with an out of office message that says:

‘Haven’t got a PPR yet? Not our problem. Go and complain to someone who cares you pathetic excuse for a non-Canadian’.

I got an email with a request to submit my passport and 2 photographs along with a copy of the email to CPC ottawa. Is this the PPR mail ? I am not sure because there is no update or change in my application in my account , strange.
I'm an FSW Outland applicant residing in Saudi Arabia. So how can I send the passport to Ottawa ?
Congrats ..Cheers :)

Hi Guys,

Need a quick advise.

I have submitted my application through an agent who is authorized for IRCC. CIC replied that everything is in order and that i can contact CEC ottawa as my file is processed there.

So i wrote an email to CEC ottawa requesting them on my status.
They said they will not be able to reply to my email coz its different in my file (agents mail id is provided). They Then asked me to fill out and sign an authorization form to add email address and i did.

Trust there will be no confusions/ issues and that they will only add my mail id to the file and not replace agents mail id with mine. Hope they will now start to reply to my mail with the status.

Little worried...plz advise !!

You're not to send your passports to Ottawa.
Take that email you received alongside your passports to the nearest Canada VAC closest to you (also known as VFS), your passports will be sebt to the nearest visa office for stamping.
You do not need to change visa office or anything. Just go and submit your passport. That PPR email you received is accepted worldwide!!!!!

Yup for once they're right.
Ordering GCMS notes very early on in the application mitigates against RR delays.
