One of my friend from Oakville got end to end completed in 7.5 months. Does Oakville has an office or it also come to missisauga !

No office in oakville its either hamilton or mississauga for them as well. Check with him where was his test and oath

I did some calculations in my head and I think I will get test invite the 21 of February or March.

There is huge difference between processing speed of these and do not expect invite for atleast another month or two. October guyz from calgary just started receiving theres we r long way down the line

Yeah but i think Sydney Office initiates Criminality check for every application and once is passed then file should be in one of the local offices hands. Officer then picks it up and schedule you for a test after a quick review of the file,so Sydney does Criminality for everyone ,this is my view for the whole process.
you can order GCMS notes ,then you can see if one of these things started for your file or not,but i think it is so early to order it now since we just got AOR,you can order it 2-3 months later :

Knowledge: not started
Residence: not started
Language: not started
Prohibition: not started
Criminality: no started

do i need to keep my job reference contacts informed. Does Back check will also be done for job.

If u do not intend to travel u do not need to renew PR. Expired cards doesnt mean u r not PR so they r ok to take to test centre or hand in at oath

Not sure about Mississauga or Scarborough but Kitchener office is most likely working on giving out invites to March 2018 applicants right now. That being said, there was someone from Waterloo who applied in October 2018 and has a test invite too. So looks like things are picking up with the Kitchener office steadily.

i dont think so they involve employers as your CRA assessment has employer details and it is legit

i read in one forum that a person's citizenship application was put on hold because his PR expired and he was told the process will resume once PR is renewed
