She clearly asked me not to pay RPRF before I get notified. Basically, she was hinting that RPRF request usually means it's a sign that your application is close to completion. Hence, it is wise to wait for RPRF request.

Even though I asked her can I pay it now and her exact words were, it is better to wait till you get notified!! Generally, your applications are close to completion when you receive RPRF notification.
She said that...' Generally, your applications are close to completion when you receive RPRF notification'?? Can't believe... I think you should go for gcms notes... Heard that requesting them triggers the application in many cases.. Good luck!!! You have been answering in this forum and had helped many... I really hope you get to hear positive news soon..

Last time I checked my R10 was completed on December 17,2018. I seriously, don't understand what is going on here.

Just sucks now I will have to wait till June. I can't seem to bloody quit my job and get out of this country :(
I still don't get how these guys can change the estimated completion date without notifying us? Since you called an agent , she told you about the change of date. But what about others? They will wait for the completion date and see it's not completed. Not good man.

Sith - Don't worry, we are all in the same boat. It's just a matter of months.

Exactly!! On what basis are they changing these completion dates? If I hadn't called then I would still be under assumption that my application will complete on May 2

I know it's a matter of months, but I seriously don't understand how people from December AOR are getting PPR while I am 3 months since MEP and nothing on my application has started yet? How exactly are they processing applications is there some kind of pattern to this. They can't keep saying the same backlogs as reason. So November AORs have backlogs but no backlogs for December AORs? this is ridiculous!!

Bad news :( Just got off phone from a super kind agent and she said my eligibility, criminality and security has not started yet and for now they have put my file for completion on June 11, 2019 and I should wait till I get notified to pay RPRF :(
I'm in a similar position. Nov 3 AOR, nothing started. I paid upfront, but when I called the agent told me nothing started, and I should renew my passport which is expiring in Oct 2019...
Sounds like some applications are on hold for no apparent reason.

I'm CEC inland, my ER has internet presence with my name and picture...
Really dont understand what's going on

Hi guys, please advise. My case is PNP, Nov 26 AOR, Jan 03 MEP, got ADR (Household Registry and Schedule 4) from Hongkong VO on Jan 28. After that, my sys shows:
Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents: Not applicable.
Background check: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.

I am a bit confused, since my case is in CPC / LVO now, why I'm still stuck at IP1?

You are a CEC inland  you should have got your PPR by now. Dec AOR CEC are getting their PPR now:confused:

We are 100 days and still eligibility or BG checks have not started. This is beyond ridiculous!! How the hell are they holding up some applications? Seriously, they can't blame this on backlogs.

We are kind of helpless here because we can't even question them on what basis are they processing these applications or is there some pattern they are following!!

The more I think of this the more frustrated I become. Seriously this sucks!!

I don't think there is a pattern, most people who give biometrics see them as completed in an hour. I gave mine a month ago and no agent even bothered to verify that I gave them, so it just seems like I missed my biometrics deadline on the cic website. I called cic and they simply told me my application is pretty much untouched and I should just wait.
I also don't think it depends on your nationality as not a lot of Turkish people migrate to Canada, so there should not be a backlog for applicants from Turkey. I think agents pick cases randomly and some people are lucky, whereas others are not.

Hey @SithLord , can you tell what is your MEP date?

I am guessing that with delays being the new normal the application finalization date might be 6 months from MEP? I am wondering if this theory is right.

Edit: nope, doesn't look right from your signature

Your theory could be right. Since my now estimated date is June 11,2019.
