I have a disability so I've researched medical inadmissibility due to excessive demand a lot.

Here is how the system works

1. Your local medical center does not make any decision on whether medical is passed or not. It simply prepares a report which lists the results of all your tests & examinations done at the center. If you have any medical conditions, they will be a part of the report.
2. This report is then examined by the Canadian Health Services officer. He/she will either pass the medical or will flag it if it a potential candidate for medical inadmissibility on public health, public safety or excessive demand grounds.
3. If it is flagged, then the VO will take a look at the report. In case of excessive demand, the VO will look up what it costs for treatment of the diseases or disorders and see if the cost exceeds excessive demand.
4. If the VO determines that it exceeds, you will get a procedural fairness letter (PFL) giving you a chance to show that you won't be an excessive demand.

Considering that your medical hasn't been cleared, it is almost certain that it has been flagged for review. There is a good chance that you will get the procedural fairness letter, and therefore you should consult an immigration lawyer with experience in medical inadmissability to help you draft a reply (better do it now just in case as if you get the letter, then there will be very little time to prepare the reply).

Also, order GCMS notes ASAP. It will give you an idea on what is going on with your application and will help you/the lawyer in drafting a response if a PFL is sent.
Hi,

Thank you for this info.
Gonna do this now!

Managed to reach IRCC today, initially called to find out what is happening with my biometrics, as the status still didn't change after 3 weeks.
The agent was very helpful and nice. He told me that they received my biometrics and everything seems fine with the application, and sometimes there are system glitches and bugs, and it is not being updated regularly, but assured me they received everything.
Also updated me that my file is in CPC Ottawa(it moved from Sydney) which is good right? I know Sydney is supposed to be slower(?)
I also asked about my status, and it is as follows:
Eligibility - in process
Security - Not started
Criminality - in process(that's why they needed my biometrics for)

I am Nov 24th, any ideas on my timeline?
Did you call from India?
If yes, please share the number

got reply for the CSE I had raised. My documents are in order with the application. No further update as my application is within regular processing times. Also, if I need any more information then I should contact CPC in Ottawa.
When you guys raised CSE under what topic did you raise it?

I will be completing 100 days from AOR this Week and more than 50 days from the last update :(
Completing 100 days from AOR on Sunday and today is the 63rd day since I got any kind of update :)

No how to find job mail in Canada, no ghost update, no RPRF request, no changes in any BG statuses. It still shows reviewing the additional document provided since December 4. So basically no movement since December 4.

Finally got an update from call center agent:
Eligibility is Recommended Pass,
Criminality is Passed
Security is yet to begin

Agent told me file is in normal processing time so approx. another 2 to 4 months.
If Eligibility and Criminality is pass I would say 1 or 2 months mostly!!

Well done!!

That is their standard response. I received same when I raised a CSE.

Did you try contacting CPC-Ottawa and asked for an update?

The only thing that would have moved forward in your profile must be the timeline :D and seriously don’t worry there are so many who got their PPRs even without any Update. It is almost 20 days now since I received any update,so I guess we just need to be patient
