Hi there! My OINP paper-based application was received on 23rd November 2018. I have been trying to link it to my online CIC account but it says they cannot find my application. Did this happen to anyone who later received their AOR successfully?

Hi, they reveived my application the same time as you, I checked my account, showed the same informarion as you.

Hey - thanks for sharing! Have you received your AOR? And has your work permit expired?

I applied by mail, I don’t have AOR. But I am still waiting for the FN. my working permit will expire at the end of this July. So I am waiting for FN, so that I can extend it. But my nomination paper will be expired at the end of this month. I am not sure can I apply the closed working permit with the expired nomination letter. I am so confused

You can apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit with your AOR. You have plenty of time till July. I'm sure you'll get your AOR this month & when you do, apply for a BOWP. Don't worry :)

Thank you. But I don’t think I can apply for the BOWP. Because I am under the oinp with job offer, I can’t change my job befor getting the PR. I think I can only get the closed working permit. But I am still have many questions about the process to apply the closed working permit

Okay, so if you have at least 1 year of Canadian work experience, you should just apply via Express Entry. You'll get it in 4 or 5 months.

I know. But it’s hard to apply with 2 years collage diploma, that’s why I tried the OINP.

I see. Do you not have enough points?
I think I only have 390 or 400, which is not enough. That’s why I even don’t want to take the language test anymore. But my points will be higher if I have 3 years working experience. So I will see, if I can’t get my pr at the end of this year, I might think about ee
