Greetings Everyone!

I have been silent follower of this thread. Finally, I had my chance to share the success story. I am sharing the complete Timeline of the EOR process so that it helps others.

First Attempt : LRSW -> 7/7/7.5/6.5
Second Attempt : Dec 15 2018 - > 8.5/7/7/6.5
Result Date : 29 Dec
EOR applied : 04 Jan 2019
Document Received by BC : 07 Jan
EOR completed and TRF received : 2nd Feb
New Scores : LRSW -> 8.5/7/7/7
Test Center : British Council, India, Chennai

New CRS Score : 449

Writing score increased from 6.5 to 7.

As you see, this is my second attempt and was so nerve wracking waiting for the EOR. Finally, the wait is over. IELTS journey ends here. Wishing others the best of luck.

Note : If you ask me was I confident in Writing to go for EOR? Honestly, I wasn't. Its a 50-50 Chance. Everyone feels they did better when results were out. If its just .5, Take a chance and Apply for EOR. You might get lucky. Just to spice things up, I had a friend of mine from other city who wrote the exam on same date and he also needed .5 in writing. We both applied for EOR and his results came out positive today. We both were flying now. Just thought of sharing to keep others motivated. Good luck with your IELTS journey.
Good to know, I'm in the same situation here... waiting for my eor.

I received my EOR today for the test date 15 dec 2018.
I got my score changed from 6.5 to 7 in speaking.
Finally I got my magic scores for the Canada PR.
If you are confident that you did well in your exam, pls go ahead with the EOR option. You will surely get a hike in your score.
Good luck to all the candidates who are waiting for their EOR outcome.
Many congratulations and it is a great RELIEF :)

Hello guys please any help on acingvthe IELTS the second time, as I don't intend to write again. I mean recommendations, pages whatever will help please I need help with it. Have been sad all afternoon after seeing my result. I felt like a complete failure.
Hey just dont worry.. Most people dont make it in the first attempt, first attempt just goes in seeing the real pattern and exam conditions.

First i will tell you, you check your scores , sit and analyse your weak areas. ONly you can pinpoint that.

L 7 R 7.5 S 7.5 W 6.0. - This is a great score for a first timer. You jus have to polish a little to make L&R to 8 and writing 7. Just think how you did your speaking and try to practice the same way. Do active listening of BBC , read newspapers aloud..

May be you can write to IELTS Advantage Chris to check what mistake you are doing in writing.
There is a free 5 day challenge by Chris - IELTS Advantage, take that first and then ask him for scoring your writing.

You will make it, you are very near. All the best

Previous attempt:

L/R/W/S - 8.0/8.0/7.0/6.5 - EOR waiting

This attempt:
L/R/W/S - 8.5/8.5/6.5/7.5 - Planning to go for an EOR

Thoughts...
2nd attempt's score seems pretty promising though.. I think you can try for EOR

Hi All,

We have submitted the EOR form in an IELTS branch. Got a notification email that the EOR request is submitted and that we need to either submit the EOR hard copy to a branch or courier to Gurgaon and we could ignore if we have already done.

Fine, so will we receive any notification when the documents reach Gurgaon? Whom should we check to see if the documents reached head office? Any ideas pls?

No, they will not send any notification. You have to call the customer care to know the status of your application.

Thanks, i got an email saying courier the EOR application - ignore if already submitted - We have submitted it at the nearest branch though.
Customer care says they cannot explicitly say if the application reached Gurgaon.

The lady at branch says she has sent all documents.

Is it all fine here? Is there any other status that customer care could tell?

I too followed the same procedure and submitted the documents to the nearest branch. After couple of days I called up the customer care to check the status and they informed me that they haven’t received the documents yet. So I reached out to my local branch and they said that the documents have been sent and it might take sometime for them to update it. Still I called up the customer care the very next day and they said that my documents have been received by the head office and I need to wait for upto 21 days.

I have been calling to the below number.
Customer care-‭1800 102 4544‬

Try reaching out to them because they can only update you with the current status of your application.

This is really very inspirational. I was confused to go for it or not, now I am certain that I will apply for EOR.
1st attempt ( 15 Dec 2018) LRSW : 8.5/8/7/6.5, didn't apply for EOR.
2nd attempt (19 Jan 2018) LRSW: 8.5/8/7.5/6.5
This time I was pretty confident about my writing as I didn't repeat any world in entire essay, followed the format recommend at various portals, wrote to the point. I am really confused about my writing score as this was definitely better then the first attempt. Will surely apply for EOR once I get my TRF.

I had my IELTS computer-delivered on December 19th and I submitted my EOR on January 11th. I haven't received any feedback from my IELTS center, however I contacted IDP Australia, they told me that my EOR was completed, unfortunately my local IELTS center is closed today so maybe it will be tomorrow when I know whether if my TRF changed or not.

Keep you posted.
I applied for Speaking module.

2nd attempt (LRWS) 8, 7.5, 7, 6
