Hello,

I applied for my TRV visa online yesterday (Jan. 29) and attached my hotel confirmation under the travel information section of the application. This hotel confirmation states my travel dates to Canada as March 1-3. I will be travelling by land.

Nevertheless, I noticed that the average processing time for a online TRV outside of Canada is 64 days, which would put me in April.

Since the travel information submitted in the application is in March, do I run the risk of my application being denied if the travel dates have passed before my application has been approved?

For example, if for some reason my application is looked at in March 1, and they notice that I intended to go to Canada March 1-3, will they deny my application because the travel information is no longer valid? Or will they allow me to update my travel information?

In your experience, do TRV approvals really take 2 months? How flexible is the GC with the travel information section on the application?

Should I proceed to change my travel plans already?

Thanks for the help!

The processing times posted are only intended as a general guide. Actual processing can be much faster or take much longer than these posted times.

TRV decisions are not given based on the travel plans or hotel reservations. Your application won't be refused if your travel dates have passed
