They seem to be slow, but you might get lucky..

yes, the problem is that we are both in Colombia, and calling CIC through skype doesn't work as it has to be within the country. Now we either ask his father to call for us or wait until he gets back to Canada or continue waiting till July comes ( which is horrible!) We'll see what happens

Hi,

I also applied from Colombia. I only received the AOR towards the end of December and last week they asked for the police certificates, so I am not too far ahead from you.

The delays with many July applicants seem to be rather normal. To call CIC, you can download an application called “Text now”. It assigns you a North American phone number and will allow you to make calls for free.

To Everyone in the group, I know there are more then 90% rejections in TRV case. But if I still want to try what with all your experience suggest I should give the reason. None of us any birthdays coming up. Guys, please give a thought about it.

Sorry what do you mean spouse can’t come to India? Did u try contacting the embassy by web form? Is that even worth to do? If you did what did they say. I’m also thinking to use the web form or not

I heard it’s never a good idea to apply for TRV while doing sponsorship

Spouse is currently involved in his work.. And he will be taking leave only after 3 months..he is thinking to call me there instead..cz its been more than a year we hav'nt seen each other..
We are not applying now..in case if this PR processing takes time..then we have no other option but TRV..
Just gathering information on this..then will decide later

Yes same here it’s taking such a long time. It’s sooooo hard. Maybe you can contact the embassy see what they can tell you

Ya lets c..goin to do some research on this
Btw There is a provision to apply for TrV while PR in process..the only prob is you shd prove u will return back to ur native place once time period is over..
There lies the difficulty

Yes exactly that is the difficulty. Many ppl have been denied bc PR was in process but yes more research is always useful. Another issue is that when ppl contact embassies overseas within 12 month period they get told that its still within pricessing times.
