I'm still waiting too. Application received in Sydney on July 16th. Don't know what to expect

Application received on 16th Jul are unlucky one.
Just call call center and ask them the status. I did the same couple of months ago and then file begun to move as my file gathering dust.

My husband and I are really worried/frustrated since our application was received in Sydney on July 16th and so far we haven't got anything from CIC! would this mean that there is something wrong? Who can we contact to get some info? I'm applying from Colombia and my husband is Canadian. I'd appreciate any helpful info as I see that most of the message imply that the time for get an AOR is up to 8 weeks!!

Make sure that your husband calls CIC and they should be able to provide an update. AOR can take more than 8 weeks for sure. At least 3 months

Hello everyone!

I've been reading through the posts and I'm looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience to mine so far. Nerves are definitely getting the best of me at the moment lol.

My husband is from Trinidad and I am from Canada. My application required me to send in the police check at the beginning but wait for the request for the medical to be done. Hopefully there is someone who can relate or share some information on what's to come soon.

My timeline is as follows:
Outland sponsorship submitted: July 25 2018
Acknowledgment of receipt: November 15 2018
Approval of sponsorship: November 21 2018
Transfer to Mexico for processing: January 17 2019

Hello you can contact CIC directly by calling them and you can also check status online to check if sponsor has been approved. I think it does not hurt to call

I have tried calling many times. All they say is that my application is under 12 months so i have not to worry about it. I have checked it onliine on ecas and its been 2 and a half month and it says that In Process

You mean in process for you as a sponsor? Yes they always say thAt as long as under one year they can’t say much. I think you should be approved as a sponsor at any moment now

My wife is sponsoring me and her side of status shows In Process. I am worried because its taking a long time for making a decision about sponsor status. how long its gonna take for proncipal applicant. Because as much as i know 90% of applicant recieved sponsor approal and medical request a few weeks after AOR

I’m also sponsoring my husband. He is outside of Canada. It took over 3 months for me to get approved however now for the PA is taking even much longer. We have not heard any news in months.

For me it’s Ankara processing my husbands file and it is taking forever

Question for you. I applied on behalf of my husband on July 3rd. His file has been in progress for months and since medical done no news. Should I use the web form to send a message or will that annoy the VO office? Thank you.
