Photo paper. MAke sure to write both your names, birthdays, date the photo was taken (or best estimate) and a small description of what is happening, where etc on the back of the photos.

a word doc is fine, just make sure that you are including the names, birthdays as well as dates and descriptions behind each picture and make sure it is no more than 20 photos

so glad i discovered this website! you guys are amazing! thank you!

btw, you mean the name of the applicant or the sponsor?

I think just the principal applicant's name and DOB (and brief context of photograph) is what they want at the back of each photograph

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS FOR SPONSORED PERSONS (PRINCIPAL APPLICANT AND ALL FAMILY MEMBERS)

7. PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP TO SPONSOR

Photos of your wedding, customary celebrations, engagement, and/or outings. Provide a maximum of 20 photographs to support your relationship (taken at different times and places). Please write your name and date of birth on the back of each photo and provide a brief description of the context on the back of each photograph;

This section is for the Sponsored Person(s). They are asking the Sponsored Person(s) to write "your" name and date of birth, so sponsor's name/DOB should not be written on the back of the photographs.

We did both as well cause we weren't sure (but we made it clear as in, PA NAME, BIRTHDATE, and then a new row for SPONSOR, BIRTHDATE), but yeah, it's in the section for persons being sponsored so the sponsor doesn't need to be listed.

But of course, doing that extra step won't hurt, as long as you've also done what they asked in the first place.

I agree :)

Just wondering too if you guys use the surname of your husband "family name" when filling out the form? or did you use your maiden name? i already use my husband's surname on my passport, so i guess i could use it when filling out the form when it says, "family name"?

thank you so much!

It's the name that matches your passport.
