This excel data is very useful. It seems that most people from August 2017 are in pending.

It can also be that some people don't update their cases once they get PR because they are so happy and want to forget about this long immigration delays in Québec Or they might have got Express Entry.

hmm.. So do not fall in Canada's PR & Immigration marketing stunts.
If an application goes into Canada's immigration blackhole, then we have no idea what happens to it. GCMS notes also won't give a clue. Files go untouched for a very long time.

Yes, every case is unique. But if you apply from inside you will get it much faster than outland applicant, I mean if you are from the same nationality.

AOR is Acknowledgment of Receipt .

Once CIC receive your application at Sydney or any other Processing Center and it is found to be eligible, it shall be sent to -via email or the address you gave.

This AOR sinclude your file number . And the link you mentioned is the right one showing you the procedure.
