Does anyone encounter this problem for PR application? When I call the number it tells me that:
1. You've passed Medical Exam
2. They're doing Background Check

But online it only shows Medical Results received.

It seems like the online system & their automated phone system are not in-sync?

Do they mention anything about work permit when you call? Mine says medical passed and they are doing background check but nothing about work permit.

I think for information on the phone about the work permit you need to dial through the work permit section. For French is like the numbers 1 1 1... followed by anwsering questions about your personal data such as your work permit application number which usually is different from your sponsorship application number..

Do you have a representative? If you have access to myCIC I believe it would show background check in process. ECAS doesn't show the background check status.

No representative, but I haven't linked the PR application to the GCKey account, so perhaps if I do that then it would show there.

We have the same situation. My application sent September 6, got MR December 21. And I’m out of status.good luck to us. Ithink 4months to get AIP after the medical. Like my
Hi @Fopogi26,

I was looking at your posts to add you in the September Inland applicants timeline and noticed that you sent out your application on Sep 6 but it was delivered on Oct 16 with AOR on Nov 1.

Just FYI, everyone here uses the delivery (receipt) date to CIC as their application date. So for example, if someone's application was submitted on Sep 28 and was delivered on Oct 4, then the person will be an Oct 4th applicant, not Sep 28th. This is the same method that CIC uses as well because they have no control over the postal/courier services.

So in your case, you will be an October 15th applicant and you could notice your timeline is rather aligned with October Inland applicants than the Sep applicants. For example, the latest September 28th applicants got his AOR on Oct 20 with 22 days wait time when the average wait time for October Inlands was faster in 16 days, which perfectly makes sense in your case as your AOR was received on Nov 1.

I am guessing your lawyer took his/her time to carefully review and submit your application; otherwise, CIC would never take 39 days to send your AOR.

Of course, it is just a periodical difference and I beg you to stay active in the September thread as usual and exchange information and emotions but you may find the folks in October thread more fitting in your case.

Here is the link for the October Inland Applicants thread: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/october-2018-inland-spouse-sponsorship.590150/

Cheers!

Does anyone have any idea when we will start receiving SA and AIP?

Hi everyone,

Heres an update of my hubbys timeline:

I just called IRCC IVR and it confirmed the following additional information:

Eligibility has not been completed Fingerprints are not required
An Interview is not required

We only have access to ECAS....because we have a consultant. So it seems is not updated or in sync with Ivr as a another applicant mentioned previously.

Hello Everyone!
I’ve got an update on my PR application. Up to yesterday it was showing : “Not applicable” on the background session.
But now they are processing my background check and there is a 4 page letter asking for fingerprints.
Nothing about OWP yet...
Now I’ll figure out how to get them done as I thought that there was no need to get fingerprints done in Canada.
Has anyone done it in Canada?
Thank you!

Where do you live? Biometrics are not being colected in Canada but fingerprints are. And dont ask me the difference, it is confusing to me!
