hi guys - is there anyway to submit biometrics ahead of time without even being asked? My wife is British and she will most likely be asked based on what I am seeing online. Given we are under time pressure, can I get it done before it being requested? If so, how and where?

Not sure if and how you should do that (wait for senior members), but average processing times include all these requests for different things. So when they say 12 months, that's 12 months including your medical request, PCCs (at least before when those had to be submitted later), etc. So your average remains the same either way.

Not sure what kind of time pressure you're talking about, but either way you should keep the averages in mind when making any plans. It's possible to be done sooner, yes, but I suggest not counting on it.

For real world timescales, please see spousal sponsorship via London spreadsheet link in my signature line.

If you are one of the fortunate few (emphasis on FEW), you may get approval in six months (from receipt in CPC Sydney to CoPR issue)

More likely, the bulk get approval in 9-10 months

Or it may go as long as 12 months.

Naught you can do to speed it up other than making sure you send everything they need and it is all fully and correctly completed first time and you respond as quickly as possible to medical, biometric and other requests.

Just curious to know, at what point in this whole sponsorship process do they ask for Biometrics? Is it to be submitted along with the Medical? I haven't seen it anywhere on the forums yet so my husband and I are just wondering about it. We've already paid for the fees so we're just waiting on them to tell us but no indication what to expect in regards to that.

Have a look at the spreadsheet, 2018 tab and in the comments section for some of the entries *examples in rows 22, 28, 29 etc. Seems to be generally 6 - 8 weeks after receipt.

Great thanks!

6-8 weeks after receipt of the initial application?

Yes, that is what I meant - but this is not 'guaranteed' by any means, just others peoples experience to date.
