Thank you so much, @legalfalcon I have some more questions, first one is, for my bachelor and professional degrees, WES assessed them as “two year diploma and four year professional study.” I am planning to claim points for the four year professional study which, i believe, is equivalent to the points for a master’s degree. Is it okay if I only include my diploma and transcript for the professional degree post ITA, since that’s what I’m claiming points for anyway and not include any supporting docs for the bachelor’s degree? Second question is, does CIC ask for secondary education or high school diplomas and transcript? I can’t seem to find mine, unfortunately. It will be a big problem if they require these post ITA.
If you are providing an ECA, you have to provide all documents pertaining to all the degrees mentioned in there, even if you are claiming points for the highest education. As regards the professional education, enter your degree in here as per the ECA assessment and see the points you get.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/education-assessed/read-report.html

You do not need to provide proof of for high school or secondary school. That is only required for some specific countries, and would have been requested by WES for the ECA if that would have been required./

Hi,
I had applied for gcms thru getgcms on October 19.
I still havent got it.
I have mailed several times and i get a reply that they have not released them and you may complain.
What do i do?
I wrote a post on this issue. that is available https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/all-about-gcms-how-to-order-read-general-questions-answered.482200/page-108#post-7406026

Also, GET GCMS provides all information. What you decide to do is entirely your choice. If you have a specific question, please ask.

Also pls help me understand... i have March 24 Aor and a RR for A11.2 for NOC not matching...and the agent has written please verify LOE...
However i had consulted you and u said if ur duties match..itll be fine... though duties did match but i still submitted another LOE and several other proofs like photographs and address proof and mails confirming my duties.
Still i have been waiting since 9 months now... ordered gcms... but didnt get them... what do i do?
If the case analyst or an assistant has marked your file for review required for LoE, it is the officer that will review your file and make a final decision.

Hi @legalfalcon
This thread is very interesting...

Will the analyst asses the 67 points for PNP applicants or just the crs?
If I got the nomination with 2 language tests and prior to eapr one of them expired and I have decided to not mention the expired one and removed from my profile. still, I am MEC
So will the officers communicate with the province to check whether I claimed one or 2 language tests? If yes so at what stage
Regards.
Even the PNP applicants have to met the MEC or 67 points as well as the CRS for the specific round.

The provincial and federal requirements are different. If you have a nomination you are good and you can file your application as long as you meet the MEC and CRS. Also your documents for the IRCC have to be valid. If you are claiming points for the language test, it has to be valid on the date you file your eAPR

Hello @legalfalcon,

What's the precised rule-of-thumb and successful guidelines are in particular to my scenario about travel history as stated below, in detail:

My country of origin is Pakistan, but together with my family following is the residence history:

  • from 2011-2012: I was in KSA.
  • from 2012-2018: I was in Italy.
  • from 2018: I am in Canada

During our stay in Italy, we had an extensive travel history to other Schengen countries for tourism and conferences purposes, which are not even recorded/stamped on my passport, as didn't needed visa. In due course, we don't even remember exact dates of Short (max 3-4 days) Schengen travels and we had 2-3 old passports as well.

Following are my main concerns, which I would really appreciate, if you please help me:

  • Do we need to attach stamped and bio pages of all previous passports as well?
  • Travel history should match with stamps dates on old passports?
  • What about Schengen travels which bear no stamps on old passports?
  • The chronological order in dates should be with NO GAP? or the in-between gap should be filled by duration of country of residence?
  • Trips from current county of residence to county of origin, should also be recorded? there are many in last 10 yrs.
  • My wife doesn't have her old passport before 2012 with her, so there's no record of travels, and she might come up with some vague dates, not 100% accurate. What should we do about her initial 4 yrs travel history out of 10 yrs?
  • System allows 30 entries I believe, so any additional would be provided through supportive documents. Right?
  • Do we need to scan and upload all passports (old and current) stamped and bio pages?
  • Our son was born in 2014 in Italy, do we need to provide his travel history as well? I suppose, we have to provide all family members travel history in separate right?
Please assist me in detail, as I was checking I have total 8-9 total passports (old and current) of all of us. It's becoming devil's intestine to us. Looking forward for your kind assistance. Many Thanks in advance!

P.S. Sorry for long detailed post and would appreciate, if you in-detail respond to each question, and please take your time, no hurries..Thanks!

  • Do we need to attach stamped and bio pages of all previous passports as well?
Only if your prior expired passports have valid visas. If not, then there is no need to upload expired passports.

  • Travel history should match with stamps dates on old passports?
No. Some countries do not stamp passports and/or do it electronically. So there is no requirement that every visit to a country has to match your passport stamp.

  • What about Schengen travels which bear no stamps on old passports?
If you do not remember the exact dates, you can mention in your letter of explanation that during 20xx - 20xx you visited the following countries:
    a.
    b.
    c.
    etc.

Further, there were no stamps in your passport for these visits and neither do you remember the dates.

  • The chronological order in dates should be with NO GAP? or the in-between gap should be filled by duration of country of residence?
Is this for travel or personal history? For personal history there should be no gap.

  • Trips from current county of residence to county of origin, should also be recorded? there are many in last 10 yrs.
Ideally yes. This helps in IRCC sending requests for any additional documents and helps in security. You can add an additional page if needed as a part of LoE.

  • My wife doesn't have her old passport before 2012 with her, so there's no record of travels, and she might come up with some vague dates, not 100% accurate. What should we do about her initial 4 yrs travel history out of 10 yrs?
    See answer above.

  • System allows 30 entries I believe, so any additional would be provided through supportive documents. Right?
    See answer above.

    See answer above.

  • Our son was born in 2014 in Italy, do we need to provide his travel history as well? I suppose, we have to provide all family members travel history in separate right?
In the application each family member has to provide his personal and travel history separately.

Hi @legalfalcon

We recently had a child and updated the EE profile accordingly with POF. And just after a week, in the last draw, I have received my ITA. While filling my PR application, it is not allowing me to proceed without entering Passport details of our newborn. I haven't received my child's birth certificate yet, only after that I would be able to apply for the passport. I believe I wouldn't have enough time to wait for my child's passport.

Could you please let me know if I can proceed with my application without entering child details and can I add it later ?

Thank you in advance sir.
You have to provide the essential details, i.e. the identity document (passport) for the profile. It is mandatory. If you do not have one, you should get it asap. If you fill in an application without it, you will need to file a LoE explaining why there is no passport along with all the details of you trying to get one (proof of filing). You will also need the child's passport for the medical.

Anyone else having difficulty getting their GCMS notes? Mine were due on November 30th, and still haven't got them. Any reason why they might try to withhold information, or is it just a normal delay due to their great incompetence?
Not sure where you requested them from. But one of my previous posts may help, see:

Dear @legalfalcon

Hope you are doing well.

I am creating my profile for Express Entry – Federal Skilled Worker and have a CRS score of 441. I would be grateful if you could help me with the following concerns I have, related to the application process (apologies for the long post):

1. Rejection of Work Permit - In May this year, my current organization applied for my work permit for Canada, which was rejected by Government of Canada (IRCC). It was applied under the LMIA exempt category for internal transfer and below is the reason for the rejection.

" Thankyou for your interest in working in Canada. After careful review of your work permit application and supporting documentation under the International Mobility Program, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:

· You have not demonstrated that you come within the exceptions under section 186 of the
IPRR exempting you from the requirement to obtain a work permit or that your employment in Canada comes within the exceptions to section 203 of the IPRR. As a result, your offer of employment must be the subject of an economic effect determination before a work permit can be issued to you. Your employer in Canada should contact the local office of the Department of Employment and Social Development Canada to begin this process.

· I am not satisfied that you possess a high standard of specialized knowledge, including advanced proprietary knowledge. Therefore, you are not eligible for an LMIA exempt work permit under 205 (a) – intra-company transferee, specialized knowledge.

You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that situation meets the requirements.”

I have mentioned the UCI number in my EE application. My concern is that will this rejection be a factor in deciding the fate of my PR application also (at any stage of the process)? If yes, what is the best way to minimize the effect of the same and ensure success of the PR application.

2. NOC Code – My total work experience is more than 8 years within India, spread across two MNCs in the following manner:

Company A – As a Business Analyst (nearest matching NOC code 2171) – 4.5 years

Company B – As a Business Analyst (nearest matching NOC code 2171) – 2.25 years

Company A (once again) – As a Manager (nearest matching NOC code 0213) – 1.75 years

Although I am comfortable with taking up either Analyst or Manager role in Canada, I can see that there are a greater number of opportunities for Analyst role.

I am therefore concerned regarding which code to select for my primary occupation.

· Does the primary occupation necessarily have to be my latest occupation?

· Is it OK to select an occupation (analyst) that is one level lower than my current occupation (manager)?

· Does the primary occupation chosen by me have an impact on my application process?

· Does the primary occupation chosen by me also have an impact on the Job I get once I reach Canada?

3. Considering my situation, should I go through an immigration consultancy or is my situation not as complicated as I am perceiving it to be.

I will be really obliged for your help and guidance on these areas.

Thanks

Basant
1. No, a prior rejection has no impact on the processing of your PR application. The WP and PR have different requirements. So as long as you meet the PR criteria ad disclose your prior rejection, no issues.

2. First off, what you select in your PR application has nothing to do with what you do in Canada. There is no relation. Once you become a PR, you can do anything legally permissible, which now includes selling weed, as long as you have a license.

To answer your questions:
Does the primary occupation necessarily have to be my latest occupation?
No, it can be any NOC in which you at least have one year or more of work ex.

· Is it OK to select an occupation (analyst) that is one level lower than my current occupation (manager)?
I don't get your question. Why would you do that?

· Does the primary occupation chosen by me have an impact on my application process?
No, it has no impact, unless you are applying as a PNP under a specific NOC.

· Does the primary occupation chosen by me also have an impact on the Job I get once I reach Canada?
No.

3. If you feel you can handle it, do it yourself. If not, then go with a LICENSED professional.

@legalfalcon, I have been told my file has been approved since nov 19th and the responsible office will contact me soon. I sent a mail last 2 weeks and was told by CIO Sydney agent that i was in queue for issuance of correspondence. I raised a CSE today and was told my file is still in CIO Sydney. My question is

1. Can CIO Sydney send PPR email?
2. If not, does it mean i still have to wait for a long time considering sending to VO and VO sending ppr email?
You can get email from any IRCC office.

Dear @legalfalcon thankyou for your continued help and support. I have used your website getgcms more than 10 times now and am a very happy and satisfied customer.
I was wondering if you can help me clarify this entry on my gcms notes I received this morning:

"on bf review File referred to MO/SC via email."

I have been in SS since 4 Dec 2017 and they haven't requested RPRF yet.

Thankyou in advance.
I started GET GCMS, but there is a team that manages it and some of the team members are new immigrants who are starting their life. They work part-time at GET GCMS.

But thanks for your appreciation and kind words.

Did you stay in the US? or worked in US?

Dear Sir @legalfalcon
I need your expert advice on my case, My study permit got rejected in November 2017 from Canada , I have done MPhil/MS in Management Science (HR) also have Master Degree in Administrative Sciences(HR). I am working in HR department in a local firm. I applied my SP for a college diploma and show my qualification till Graduation(BA) and didn't mention my Master and MPhil degree in visa documents but i got rejected my SP.
Now I want to apply for skilled immigration as i full field basic requirements of qualification and experience but after my SP rejection i came to know from different Canadian immigration forums that i did a mistake to hide my other qualification and now if i applied for immigration it will result in a procedural fairness latter and if I unable to satisfy visa officer It will result in ban for several years as i committed to misrepresentation of educational documents.
In the light of above story please inform me about my query
1- Am i still eligible to apply for skilled immigration (express entry)?
Please reply
The answer will depend on what you were rejected. Was it because you did not meet the SP requirement or they found that you misrepresented?

In either case, you can apply for PR, but you will have to disclose the prior rejection and explain.

Superb, many many thanks for detailed answer. Pretty much cleared now. Thanks a lot. I am compiling travel history and will share with you the draft, and would appreciate to have your insights upon it. Wish you prosperous new year!
Hi again @legalfalcon , So I will attach old passport's pages in LoE (as they contain visas) and will provide reasoning about Schengen travels. My originating country is Pakistan, and Residence countries were KSA, Italy and now Canada. Spouse's travel history is almost similar to mine. I took your awesome guidelines, based upon my limited understanding I came up with a spreadsheet in chronological order from recent to old, I tried my best to be thorough and covered almost all the travels. I believe they require mm/yy, so for Schengen travels, as of no stamps, I can't remember days, instead I included accurate months. I also included trips among residence countries (KSA, ITALY) and Originating Country (PAK), as you advised well.

I would really appreciate, if you please have a look into this spreadsheet and suggest/amend some changes, if nedeed. There's no urgency, as per your convenience, if not asking too much, please feel free to edit if there are changes required.

The spreadsheet is shared on Google Drive at this link: https://bit.ly/2F1CUGk

Many many thanks in advance! always have been very kind and supportive.

Warm Regards!
