Dear All,
Does CIC rejects application due to inter-relegion/Intercaste marriage?
I found in another group that these cases go through more security screening. My wife converted before our marriage and had a name change .I submitted copy of affidavit for this.
Pls advise.

I do not think intercaste/religion marriages matter much to CIC as long as there was no element of fraud (as in marriage for PR or such)....

Anyone with similar case?? Pls put your opinions.

I have had a inter religion marriage and waiting for over 21 months now but for sure the reason was completely different. So far all my gcms notes had no mention of any such issue. I do not think it matters much except for cases where they believe it is done with an intention of fraud.

May I know the reason for such delay in your case??

From what I know, CIC doesn't care that much or ask about inter-religion marriage, as long as there is no intention or element of fraud. I have an inter-religion marriage, and everything is still well. We didn't encounter any problems, and we lived happily together. I am a Christian, and when I decided to marry a person of a different religion, I swore I would accept them no matter how different they were. Once at First Church Love, we had a trip to show my partner something about my religion. She was impressed and loved every moment we spent there.
