Hi everyone,
Question for people who already got their PPR emails? How long does it generally take to get your passport back ? Also i believe they provide you a time of 30 days to submit the passport. Is it possible to ask for an extension incase you are not in the country?
Yup thats easy don worry abt it... u will get email where u can send the info and reason and they extend

I received my GCMS notes this morning. Really pissed:

1. It took them 8 weeks to issue me these notes (twice the time they initially promised)
2. I emailed IRCC thrice in last 6 weeks - Each of their reply ensured me that my application is in good standing and that everything is in process. However, the notes confirmed that my FSW-Outland application has had no update since Aug 20th
3. Apparently, the case officer put my file on hold because he wasn't happy with the job verification letters. This is absurd - Both the letter comes from billion dollar companies; my friends have never had an issue with their letter. Why the unnecessary scrutiny?!

Anyways, the purpose of my message is to give you one piece of advise. Order your GCMS notes every month starting 15 days from your AOR. I think that it's worth spending $15 USD every month rather than being completely blind for 6 months (normal processing time assigned by IRCC)
what is it that they don't like about your work exp letter? Do you care to share for us?

Hello everyone,
Aor: July 5th
Background check processing update: 31st October
RPRF request : 5th December
(ghost updates in between kept happening)
There's been no update since then..... Really stressed out as the 6months completion period has just 13more days to go.....Any inputs?

Have you called to verify the reasons for the ghosts? It could be that your application has been approved and moved to the LVO.

No, haven't called... How do I get in touch? Should I write an email enquiring about the visa office?

You can use hangouts to call to +1 613-944-4000 for free, but CIC is on a christmas break returning only on Dec 27th, so I do not think they will answer any calls or emails until then.

Hi Guys,

I have been following this forum silently, it has been a massive help and massive source of information throughout the waiting times during the process.

I have a question but before I am sharing my timeline below:

AOR: July 26th
Medical passed: Aug 10th
IP2: Nov 19th
Ghost update: Dec 18th
PPR: still waiting (but very optimistic as ghost update occurred on Dec 18th after IP2 stage)

Number of applicants were 2, myself and my wife (who was pregnant), we have just been blessed by the birth of our first child one week ago which is now considered a change in the status of the family.

I am not sure how I should proceed from this point, should I wait for PPR then inform local VO with the change of family situation? what do you think will be the case then, will we need to go through the eligibility process once again and wait for a new PPR?

Thanks for the advice in advance,
