Hello everyone,

The program i am going to enroll in is 1 year program and the total fee is around 10,500 CAD. So this means that I need to show at least 20,500 CAD in my bank as proof of funds in order to fulfill the requirement by Canadian government.

Now my question is, keeping in mind that I have to pay the fee for first term i.e 3500 CAD before applying for study permit, the amount in my bank amount will be reduced by 3500 CAD because i will be paying from the same account. I want to know will this affect my visa process in anyway?

If you have paid tuition fees then include the receipt in your proof of funds. In your application form they ask for breakup of tuition plus other expenses so they will adjust.

So you mean if I show 27,000 CAD in my account, and attach the fee receipt , it will fulfill the requirement?
Have you done so or know anyone who has gone through this?

You only need to show your living expenses in your bank account. The more money you have the better. If you have paid any tuition fees in advance then you include the receipt.

Other than Quebec you need 10000 as living expenses and in Quebec you need 11000. This plus tuition is what they are looking for. If you have already paid your tuition in full or half then you need not show that you can pay that from your bank account if you already have.
