Calling sponsors who live in Quebec. Is the waiting time longer when ur sponsor lives in Quebec?

No it's not longer. You only have extra steps in the process.

Soon after the AOR, CIC will give you the greenlight for the CSQ with Quebec. You must now apply for the CSQ, they treat the request in 25 day. Once granted, Quebec sends the CSQ directly to CIC, and a copy to you in postal mail. it's pretty quick.

I don't know if CIC pauses treatment of the application while waiting for CSQ results though. If anyone is aware, I'd appreciate your input!

Yay thanks for the info:)

Hello y’all. My husband, the sponsor lives in Quebec and yesterday he received a letter from CIC that says we need to apply for CSQ with Quebec. One of the forms needs my signature. And he plans to send that document for me to sign by hand and send it back to Canada by courier and finally mail them to Quebec government. My question is do i really have to sign it by hand or an electronic signature is possible? Pls just need someone’s idea who has experienced the same. Thanks

I currently live outside Canada. I think i need to sign it by hand and mail it to Quebec government. Thanks for ur reply :)
Yes I understand that you live outside Canada. Get you sponsor to scan the form and then email it to you. You scan it, sign it, then scan it again. Then email the scan to your sponsor. They in turn can can either scan it, or send the PDF to the Quebec government.
