Vent of the day...Frustrating.....Sydney Nova Scotia request police clearance, husband completed it on October 29, 2018 9(had 60 day window to complete it). November 30th file was transferred to SYDNEY Australia. Husband confirmed with police on Dec 2nd, they stated police clearance was emailed on Nov 18 plus a paper copy was mailed. December 10, Australia office advised that they didn't receive PC.... someone's administrative error is costing us. Nova Scotia can verify anything on the phone....

My partner's medical request was November 29, and the whole thing was done in London on the 6th of December. Just got an email saying the application was transferred to Mississagua. I'm so happy right now I could cry! I know there's still quite a lot of stuff to do still, but I'll be forever thanking the Visa Gods it wasn't sent to London!

Here's my cobbled together timeline since I struggled to get GCKey to link for months:

Application Sent: July 30th
Application Received: August 7th
AOR1: October 2nd
SA: ECAS shows a letter was sent October 26th, but nothing has been received yet, nor did we get an email.
Medical Request: November 1st
File transfer to CPC-M: November 7th
Medical Completed: November 8th
Medical Received: Shows received in ECAS, but no date. Guessing November 15th-20th
Medical Passed: Finally linked GCKey on December 4th, and it showed medical passed, even though ECAS doesn't
BGC: Not started

Is it safe to assume that the SA was approved since a medical was requested and I was transferred to CPC-M? Sponsor is my Canadian wife and I'm American if anyone's curious.

What I came to know from CIC agent that not all the applications are forwarding in to Mississuaga, as they are overflowing. Nova Scotia is one of the fast processing center. In 2016 my PR application was processed in Nova Scotia. It took only 46 days for me. Hopefully this time as well.

Hello! The subsequent steps would be as follows:

1) Status whether the medical passed or failed. (No email will be sent. However, can be checked via GCKey)
2) File transfer (either to Missisauga or to the PA’s local VO)
3) Eligibility and background check
4) Passport request (if everything goes okay)

They might ask any additional document/s or call for an interview during the tenure, if needed.
