Hi,

I applied from the Philippines for our visitor visa's, today after about 35 days I was finally approved however my two children applications were updated to cancelled. I have not received any emails about their applications only for mine to provide my passport. We applied as family so not sure why mine would be approved and their not.

What can I do? Should i wait a few days? has anyone experienced this and if so what was result?

Did the approval letter only contain your application number? Any chance your kids’ letters were amended in the same file?

Yeah, will do that. Thank you
Hi BellaLuna, So i reached out to them only to find out that i have to file a form online, which i did and says it takes up to 28 days for a response.

I guess i will send my passport in so that I don't exceed the 30 days and lose my visa. Any other suggestions on how i can get an answer from them faster?

I've gotten responses from them within a business day or two, and worst case 2 weeks. Email them again if you don't have a response in 2 weeks.

Got my response, my kids father is Canadian so apparently we cannot get them a travel visa so that is why they cancelled, we have to apply for proof of citizenship for them and that can take upto a year :(

yeah sorry, we really didn't think it would matter since they are born in Philippines, and when we checked for eligibility said needed visa. now we know, and will start the long process. just sucks we cannot visit until then
