Hello
I have applied as visitor (purpose: tourism). My application for getting visitor visa has been refused for the following reasons:
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

Please guide me. I dont understand what was wrong.

I have send flight ticket departing to ottawa, and getting back to my country and hotel booking for them. I am wondering why it wasnt enough to prove them that I am going to come back to my country

Flight tickets and hotel bookings mean nothing. Anyone can get those. They want to see a good job or business, good savings, good travel history.

1. It seems like you want to visit as a tourist, right?

2. Do you have relatives/family members in Canada?

3. What was the purpose of your visit? For how long?

4. Have you traveled to other visa-required countries (US, UK, Schengen, Australia, NZ, etc)?

5. What passport do you hold?

I applied on Nov. 15 through online application,
I’m currently still a student studying in college in my home country ( Jordan)
I’ve included a letter from my university that says when I’m expected to graduate + proof that i paid my fees for my next semester starting in February.
I financially depend on my father as i included his bank statements with many transactions of him providing me with money every week for the last 3 years. + a letter that says he’ll be funding me during my stay in canada with the amount he’s funding me.
I have no relatives in Canada but some friends that i included their names and address in the form.
My purpose of travel is for tourism as I’ll be staying from January 24th until February 3rd.
I’ve traveled to other countries for tourism such as Malaysia, Turkey, and Singapore where i had to Issue a Visa.
I hold a Jordanian Passport.
I’ve included a flight ticket + Hotel booking but I don’t consider them helpful.

I still haven’t got an Answer yet but I’ve been stressed so I’d like to know if my application is more likely to get approved or Rejected from your opinion.
Also I’d like to note that my father lives in a different country but i included his bank statements in the country I’m currently living in (where he doesn’t get his salary here) but has some money saved and he deposits his money in this bank every once and a while. Does that matter? Or do they just want to see if he has enough money to fund me?
Thanks in advance.

Have you reapplied? It's a bit confusing because there's another poster in this thread
