USA visa denied

My friend spouse was denied US visit visa as she informed visa officer at POE that she is going to meet her friends in US although they were married.Need to understand that will It effect their PR application for Canada for providing incorrect information to US visa officer

Visitor Visa is generally denied under section 214(b), under this section ur not able to prove strong ties with ur home country.
