I don't know about GCMS buddy but I applied through Government of Canada's official website and received exactly 31 days after the request date. You can try contacting GCMS buddy and ask how long does it usually take.

As any body received such email:

Hi guys I have been following this group since September . Today after 4 months I have got the email frim ircc that they are working on my profile and it will be updated on 12th Dec .and moreover they have written that progress bar shows time elapsed since they have received my application. After the update it will give me an estimated completion date based on their latest estimated processing time....I am not able to judge what this email about. Is this a ghost update or something else..... I am really confisco
No need to be confused. Every applicant has received same email and we need to wait out to see what it actually means.
But if you read the email carefully it says they will show "processing times" and likely time for decision. My guess is basically they will put that "6 months" timeline right in the profile so that people don't have to go to a different link to see that.
Also, it says that they will let you know when this change is made. My guess is this change may be rolled out on certain kind of candidates first.
Overall, my opinion is this is not going to impact processing in anyway. But it will give rest to the call agents as now they can simply tell you look at the timeline on your profile which will be 6 months. So calling before 6 months will become even more useless than it is currently.
Thanks for the interpretation ....but this email has got all of us confused....no update after medical....but this isn't the email I was expecting after so much waiting!
I understand. I'm a June applicant with no update after medical and there are many like me on June thread. You are from August. I understand how you are feeling but there is nothing to be confused about here. This email has no bearing on your application one way or the other.
My heart stopped beating for some seconds when I saw email from Immigration, Refugees snd Citizenship CanadaFor a second there, I was hoping that this is the Golden Email. I bet at least some of you felt the same way
I think the same. It will just show the remaining time according to their everage processing times.
