Hi guys,

I have sponsored my husband in January 2018 and haven't anything from CIC. The last update was in July 2018 which states that "we are processing your background check, We will send you a message if we need more information." Can you please tell me on how long will it take to get the visa and what should I do to get an update?.

Back Ground most often is done when interview is waived. After this applicant gets a pre-arrival then a Passport Request. It could takes 2 weeks to months depending on how many places were visited by applicant out of country.

Our processing time is finishing in January. Should I contact the Canadian embassy in Rome for an update?and the following is what exactly is stated on the status. Can you please guide me on the next step, I am pretty confused.
