Hope that works for you, but I know they take the ppc very seriously and only want valid ones. I hope it works out for you though :)
Thank you, I hope so too. I have sent a visa extension application as well to get the extension while the PR is in process. I told them in my application that the reason for the extension is that our PR is in "inland" application. I have heard from a lot of people and also reading on these forums, that most of the times they to provide extension especially if you have an "inland" application.

What do you know about this?

Hi, my husband reached Canada as permanent resident. He just applied for photo card so it would take 4 to 6 weeks to come in mail. How can he sign up or register for health card. Please advice because he needs to leave in a week for back home. He cant wait for photo card that long and then apply for health card is there anything that could prove his residency requirement for health card registration? Any ideas
Hi Karachi1,

I don't know when your husband landed in Canada exactly, but I do know that there is a 3-month waiting period before he can apply.
Here is a useful website where you can find all answers. It may be wiser to apply when he comes back to Canada next time. By that time, he will have some kind of residency proof as well (a simple bank statement mailed out to him at your address would be sufficient, or a phone bill)
Also, a record of landing or a COPR are enough for proof of status, no need for a PR card, he can use his passport for proof of identity. Hope this helps.

Hi everyone,
It's my first time posting on this forum. I've applied for my wife sponsorship & we've received a Procedural Fairness Letter from LVO. They've requested;
  • Communication Proofs
  • Any Visits from sponsor
  • How the marriage was arranged
If I send chat, than they've requested the translation as well, I'm not sure if it has to be from certified translators or not? Does it needs to be translated from PA country or it can be translated in Canada?
Anybody else has gone through this process?
What are the chances that they're going to approve/reject the application?

We're kind of very upset, even after sending as much info as we can, like Photos/Joint Bank Accounts/Financial Support/Chat/Calls.

Any idea/suggestion/advice will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like it's an INLAND application when applicant is in Canada?

You're applying for common-law spouse? Personally, I would probably do a visit visa if your trying to reach Canada sooner than later. Pr takes around 12 months and if you file for pr, then apply for visit, they may deny it. Someone with more experience will probably comment soon and give you more insight though. :) I've received so much help here, I'm really grateful
Yea common-law! My only hesitation with inland is the long wait for the open work permit. Maybe a silly question but what do people do all day for three months when youre not allowed to work?

It seems they are having doubts in requards to the genuineness of the relationship. To prevent rejection, and then everything that they ask for. I realize you sent lots, but there's something that is bothering them that they need clarification on. Just send what they want and inshallah, it will be good. I had my translations done in Saudi and yes, they asked for certified translation.

If you only sent the sponsor forms, your app will be returned as incomplete. I suggest you prepare a full app to be ready to submit when your first submission is returned.

Very sorry, i got an error on my lst post so i thought it wasnt posted. We called a month ago and they said to wait for the verdict . It is really worrying how there has been no email at all nor any news up untils now when we they already know what we passed was lacking on the principal
Please AVOID double posting of the same Q. Here is your similar Q in a sep thread under FAMILY Sponsorship:-
Today at 8:17 AM
Hi everyone, i was just wondering. Got so many to worry and had so many things going on with our paper. IRCC have not her updated us for anything about our papers. Really starting to feel as if IRCC didnt even bother touching our paper its almost 3 months now. Passed it on September 13 and the only way we knew they recieved it was thru the post office.

Just wanted to share if anyone had the same experience. :(

There are members who are waiting over 100 days and no reply nothing. 1st info comes as an AOR1 with UCI and application #.
Ever since Outlands were sent to SYDNEY , they were heavily overloaded. This caused lot of delays for most of us. It takes 60 to 90 days for an AOR. If you still worry please call them so you know if your file is in the system.
Thank U
ery soon

1) You should definitely get the TRV before you get married. Being married to someone in Canada is a big red flag for getting visitor visas as it shows strong ties to Canada and a higher likelihood of overstaying. Get the TRV first and then get married.

2) Do your passports list spouses? Not sure about that, but keep in mind the passport must be valid for at least another 6 months at the time of landing.

3) Police checks need to be fresh, regardless of marrying. Since you got them in November and are getting married in December and, presumably, applying as soon as you get the marriage certificate, you should be fine. Especially if she comes to Canada in December.
Thank you.
