Hi i am a student who has applied for higher education in canada. I have taken my medical examinations and they have informed me over call that i have Syphillis. And my college starts by jan 1 week i have hardly got a month left what am i suppose to do now. They say that the treatment is penclin shots depending on the intensity. I dont know how much time it will take. Will they reject my Visa if i take the treatment and say that i am cured. Kindly help out i am freaking out like crazy.

If I were at Ur place I would finish my treatment (2-3 months) and only then apply. Reasons:-
1. Rejection could be possible as it's a sexually transmitted infection which is of a risk to Canadian citizens. That's why they check for this one only, not all the STDs.
2. Better to get treated in home.country at local.rates. if u go half way, Ur insurance may be higher. And again there what if Ur health detoriates etc.
3. Defer Ur intake to next semester and apply whenur healtgy. Don't worry, take this as a good reminder to take care of Ur body first.

The above is my personal opinion or suggestion. U may seek advise from others esp. seniors on forum. Do what you feel is right.

I would not want my passport to hold a reject stamp and if someone (employer) asks why .. u would face an embarrassing disclosure

Pls inform Ur partner to get treated.. wife or gf or bf whatever. Else no point in treatment coz it will come back upon contact.

Once u get treated fully get it checked at local diagnostic centre. Then apply for Canada. U do medical test again from panel physician and pass as eligible without any issue .... So they will not stop u from entering Canada.

Don't worry. Get treated . If Ur in a rush then ask doctor clearly about timeline .

Most probably yes. Was there any update on your gckey if medical was passed?

I did not link it because i have no surname on my passport and my agent still not given me tracking id. So i guess i will get final decision only.

oh, too bad... you would’ve been able to track as to what step in the process your application is if you have the gckey...

Yeah, i will see what i can do. Do you think it is advisable to link offline application with gckey and it will not impact my application in any way? Because i am thinking to not track it often or link with gckey.

Mate, its OK to track your gckey often, no problem with that. When my application entered the review phase, I was checking my gckey like every minute, waiting for the final decision! ;)

Your study permit will not be processed until you complete treatment. Once treatment is done and your follow-up tests are negative, they will continue processing the app.

Can i apply for visa and then take the treatment so that all my other papers will be veted by them and only the medicals will be pending or only after the treatment is complete i apply for my Visa.

I would give the same advise as what @AGoodSoul gave you previously, apply for visa only after your treatment.
