My wife is the principal applicant and I, her husband, am the sponsor.

It is required for the principal applicant to provide chat logs from her context. I did the screenshots from my end so they ended up being in my perspective and not hers. Is this OK?

Thank you!

Chat logs of text/social media conversations between you two? If this is what you mean, then no you don't need to include screenshots from her end. It would be an unnecessary duplicate of the conversations!

Do you have different chat logs with her perspective? I thought chat log would remain the same either you get it from your phone or hers?

Of course the "chat" would be the same, but the "perspective" would be different. Below is an example, see how it refers to one person as "me" in each case - same chat but different "perspectives". I believe that's what @zeninmaking meant.

From husband's phone:
Wifey: "Good afternoon"
Me: "Good morning :) . It's 7:00am here!"

From wife's phone:
Me: "Good afternoon"
Hubby: "Good morning :) . It's 7:00am here!"

On the Document Checklist, the chat logs are listed under the "Supporting Documents for Sponsored Person (Principal Applicant)" section, which I think means that the chat logs must be provided by the Principal Applicant and not the Sponsor. But hey @zeninmaking , I was exactly in the same situation as you are and my wife had changed her phone and did not have the chat logs, so I just got them from my end. I believe they will accept it and won't make a big deal out of it. I have just sent my application on Thursday and it's due to be delivered today in Sydney (NS).

It doesn't matter. They are not concerned about Wifey, Me and Hubby rather the actual content of the chat which is going to prove your genuineness of claimed relationship.

Thanks @Ahmed15 and @paint.thinner ! Yes, that was my issue. I put a letter explaining why it's in my context and not her's as a precautionary measure and sent the application today. I hope it's ok
They dont care about the perspective at all to be honest, i only sent my chat logs and not my husbands. Didnt need to explain it either.

Yeah, this is pretty much overthinking it. No need to worry about stuff like this.
