Can someone help me please? So I came here when I was 14 years old with my brother and my sister. Been in Canada for almost 16 years, my first time of travelling out of the country was last years 2017 and I used my PR and home country passport. I just found out few days ago that I came here as a refugee. Would this affect my status in Canada if I apply for citizenship? I was a minor when I came and didn't know anything about refugee lawz

Your question has already been answered. Doesn't help that you renewed your home country passport at least one time and returned to your home country. Nobody can predict if there will be consequences.

You are only dependant for a regugee father...no problem for you even you went to your home country every year..I don't know why always the replies here are so depressing

So you mean it okay for refugee dependant to travel.

Based on all your answers it is hard to understand whether your whole family arrived and claimed asylum or arrived as refugees or whether a parent came to Canada and asked for asylum and then your siblings arrived through family reunification. It makes a big difference in your case.

My older sister came first and then i and my 2 siblings came after. We became a permanent resident the same day we arrived.

Ir wasn't through family reunification, she came and claimed refugee and potted our names as her dependents.

I don't know much about immigration laws. So does that mean I can travel to my home country?
