i applied for open work permit for me and study permit for daughter last mid october 2018. We recieved our refused application yesterday with the grounds that they are not satisfied that we will leave canada at the end of our stay as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of our visit. Both of our application states the same ground for refusal.
What can i do to be approved for our permits? Thank you!

You will need to demonstrate very strong ties with your home country that essentially compel your return. Applying as a mother/daughter pair was probably a factor as well.
How are you eligible for an Open Work Permit anyway?

Hmm.. Now that you have been refused once, it's going to be that much more difficult to demonstrate, given that your spouse is in Canada.
You basically have to ask yourself "why do I have to go home?" and then prove it to IRCC with your next application.

Thank you! I will find a way to do that. I’ll post here if i have a new development.
