I thought that the PR card delays were due to the Canada post strike. Because there was no recent dispatch date updated in the tracker. Anybody have idea on it ?

60 days post landing, received photo request from CIC today. now i know the photos that i submitted matched the dimensions exactly as i verified it with a ruler myself. don't know how they are scaling the photo size... now as i know my card will be delayed for couple of months further, please advise what should i do of the below as i returned back to my home country after soft landing.
* i gave my friend in toronto the same photos which i submitted at time of passport stamping. I can ask him to just dispatch 2 photos to CIC. these are the same ones that CIC rejected today but i can just hope they accept it as it perfectly complies with CIC requirements.
* i can get new picture clicked here in my home country, send it to my friend in toronto by post and then he can forward it to CIC.
* i can get new picture clicked here in my home country, send a soft copy to friend and ask him to get it printed by any reputable place and forward to CIC. Please suggest the places for this option.
this new development has spoiled my all plans and i have to stop applying to jobs now as i won't be able to make it soon there.

Just apply for PRTD. If you are lucky, you could receive it in days or couple of weeks.

I really feel your pain, but don’t loose hope, my advice is :
- apply from your home for the travel documents, and keep applying for jobs....
- its better to retacke photo , because if you send the same one that had been rejected, it is not a good idea , and also you can not send only soft one to your friend as you khnow the rules inbone picture the studio should put on the back the date and the name, so be careful with this.
- Please if you don’t matter I want to ask about, the following
- did you linked your application to you account cic.?
- If yes, did you noticed any update before the picture request?
- Did you received the picture request in your account or by regular mail?

Which kind of visas , visitor or work , as I know after landing they cancel our work visas , for the visitor one I have no idea,!!
Work... and they have no done anythin on passport no stamp nothin and cic still shows valid
PRTD timelines from my country are even more than PPR approval averages in the world

2) Has anyone applied for PRTD recently from India? What is the process? From what I could gather, we need to submit the document checklist and any supporting documents along with 2 photos and passport at the VAC office. Did I miss anything important here?

- For the 1st question, a lot of people didn’t linked their application, and they received the photo request, some shared by email and others said by mail
- For the 2nd question , sorry no idea , I ll live it to expert or someone who already applied,
It is not mandatory to link the application and if there is a photo request they send you an email. But if you want to link the application try with your COPR infront of you and exactly match the info. I was not anle to link my spouse’s application and later noticed that on COPR his city of birth has his country of birth as well so i had to write exactly like that.
For PRTD I applied yesterday at Delhi VFS and we need to fill the application for prtd, representative form (if applicable), reciept of payment, document checklist itself, then original passport, copy of original passport (2) and any old passport used in 5 yrs, 2 photos with one photo having name and date of birth and stamp studio and date of photo taken, photo should be of 50x70mm and vfs has a service of photography at the center for a fee if u want exact dimensions without hassle. Then we need to include copy of COPR, SIN , bank account, rent agreement or any other documents proving our residence and showing that we can complete the residency obligations in coming years. Then we have to attach marriage certificate if traveling with spouse who is PR and for children their birth certificate. Then we have to attach family information form available at cic website and consent form available at vfs website, 2 copies of consent form. Lastly entry exit form has to be filled that is available at the center itself.
Vfs timing is 9-5 its at connought place in delhi and they are not providing courier service to return the passport as of now so you will need to collect it or give consent form to anyone to collect it on your behalf from vfs. This applies only for vfs delhi i don’t know about other centers. But the forms and everything else is same for all.
