Finally longggggg wait is over for me and my family. Received the oath letter on my mail for 26th Nov 2018.

My timelines as follows:

Application Received : 27th Oct 2017
AOR : 2nd Dec 2017
In Process: 12th Jan 2018 (Scarborough)
Test Date: 09 Oct 2018
Oath Letter: 07th Nov 2018
Oath Date: 26th Nov 2018
Oath Location: Mississauga

Can someone please provide me with a link for application of passport after citizenship? How many days after oath can I apply? What is the process and requirements for urgent passport? I tried to find the link but couldn't. Please help out if you can!

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 25, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 6, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on December 18, 2017.
4. We sent you a notice on February 28, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on March 28, 2018 at 8:15 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5. We sent you a notice on November 2, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on November 24, 2018 at 8:15 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment.

I live in Brampton and my application was supposed to be processed in Missausaga but was taken to Scarborough for unknown reason.

Applied in Nov 2017
Wrote my test in Scarborough in Sept 25, 2018
DM next day
Still waiting for oath date, I'm 12months already.

All my friends that we applied same time already got Canadian passport. They were processed In Missausaga.
Scarborough seems to be the slowest office in canada.
Will update you guys if i get called.

Yes, the officer that interviewed me after test told me my file was transferred from Missausaga.

Make sure you don't vote for these incompetent liberals once u get the citizenship. Shouldn't have to wait months and months for oath, that's ridiculous. Why can't they hire more judges and have more ceremonies. This department is really slow and they wanna bring in 350k more per year.
Why not make the department efficient before upping the number of immigrant intake

My wife successfully applied for a passport the next day. At the ceremony, they tell you that you have to wait 48 hours. They tell you that because if you go sooner, there is no guarantee you will be updated in the system before then. But I have read somewhere that you can check if your status has been updated by checking eCAS and seeing if your status is updated to "COMPLETE". If it is, then your status is updated in the system. My wife and I noticed that her status was updated the next morning after the oath so she when to the passport office to apply later in the afternoon. So check eCAS before you go.
