Unfortunately I don’t think that calling IRCC would accomplish much, first because they’re only call centre agents and not officers and have no power or control over how applications are handled, and second because your file is overseas and I don’t think call centre agents can access information from offices outside Canada. You just have to be patient and pray that they set a date for your interview ASAP

thank you, is there any chance they dont ask me for the date of the interview but to send my passport? on the official website of cic.gc.ca they tell when is a full year and nothing change at ECAS please contact us

12 months is just an average. They aim to complete 80% of applications in 12 months. It doesn't mean there are no applications that take longer. Just because it's been a year, doesn't mean something has to happen right now. Sometimes it takes a while to get an interview date, especially in places where they do a lot of interviews so there's a lot of them to schedule.

When we were told we were in queue for an interview in july 2017, we waited. Interviews were held in August and we weren’t contacted. So we waited some more.
Once I found out they were contacting ppl in sept 2017 of interviews in Oct, we contacted the VO via email (calling IRCC does nothing).... because some of the ppl had even applied after us, so we asked them nicely why we were passed over...
The VO said we were still in queue etc. But a few days later we got our invitation and the interview date of October :)

Once you are queued for interview, the 12 months "standard" processing timeline no longer applies. Your application will take as long as it takes.

Another question how long did the interviews take, what they ask you, do they take your passport directly? or later

It could be many months. Some people have waited over a year for an interview.

Hi
My husband was asked a LOT of questions prob lasted 45 mins more or less with him alone. He knows english but was more comfortable in spanish so they had a translator there, he could hear the question in english first and then in spanish and answer better in his language.
They asked why my family wasn’t at the wedding, why we marry so fast, if he knew
Something that happened to me in my childhood, what shows i like to watch, what he would do if they refused us, why I didn’t move to his country, what was our last fight about etc.

When he finished he came to the waiting room and told me i had to go in. I did and was asked about 4 questions. Which show we like, why i didnt move there, what i would do if we were refused and what was our last fight...

Then they told me to go get him and we were asked to clarify the Annex A; and we were approved.

They did not keep his passport as he needed it to redo his medicals.
We redid medicals in November and got his passport request in December and 21 days later he got it back with a visa in it.
Took from Dec 2016-oct 2017 for the interview. 10 mths.
He has been here since January 2018! :)
