****JULY 2018***** OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

Hello All. I think I am one of those sailing in the same boat with those many July applicants who haven't received an AOR or a File number yet. I see from Canada Post that my application package has reached Sydney, Nova Scotia office on July 27th. I tried calling 1-888-242-2100 and it asked me to enter a file number.

Now this might be a stupid question and I apologize if so, shouldn't there be any way to get to know the status of my application whether it is accepted or not or the reason for a delay in getting our AOR. Appreciate your inputs on this regard. Thank you very much in advance

Very weird...

We are july 9th applicants and have not received even AOR.

However,
I was able to check the status on ECAS, as well as link the application to my CIC account earlier this week.

Earlier, ECAS showed the Sponsor Application status and Permanent Resident status as 'In Progress'
Just checked it again today and the SA status has changed to 'Decision Made'.

But still no email, AORs or anything. How is it possible?
Hi, the good news is that your application is moving along nicely. From reading other threads I have found that it is not uncommon to find cases like yours where no messages are received but the application progresses. Not getting messages might be due to different reasons like wrong email address, no email indicated in submitted application (in this case they will have to send you physical mails through Canada Post which might take longer because of the ongoing strike), emails going straight to junk/spam folders, etc. Your best bet is to call IRCC directly and let them update your email address or at least check what is going on. For all its worth, in other threads, people have gotten PPR without any of the preceding emails coming in. I hope this helps

Hi, dial the same number, wait for the last voice prompt and use your keypad to enter 2 1 1 0. It should link you to an agent after multiple attempts. That said, there are still several July 27 applicants without AOR, even people with earlier dates. You're not alone!

Its possible that they send updates via mail letters. If so, considering Canada post strikes expect it to get lil late if you are in Canada.
I received my SA update via letter on 30th Nov where as the status was changed to DM on 12th October, and I gave my email id as well asking updates to come via email only rather than via letters.

You'll find UCI and AOR on applicant GCKey. Just happened to me earlier. :)

Okay. Thanks for replying. We submitted our Police clearance upfront. I just checked ecas this morning and it shows decision made for me (sponsor) but we haven't received any email and there's nothing in GCKey. I was just wondering if it's the same across board for July 9 applicants. I was also wondering when we'll get updates on the decision made (hopefully a good one)?
Follow up to this: I called the call center today and I was told sponsor was approved yesterday and that communication will come via mail (strange because they have my email) and has not been mailed out yet. They also said the mail will also inform whether or not (and where) our application has been transferred to a VO. No MR has been sent out yet. I asked why they're mailing it instead of email? Agent could not give a solid reason. She only said it happens like that. So if you're wondering why you've not been getting notifications but status is getting updated on GCKey/ECAS, this is probably why.

Helpful info, I shouldn't be too surprise then, at least it's showing some sign of being processed Thanks!

I hope that is the case too. I did fill out my email address in the form and signed the representative form too expecting them to communicate with me (the Sponsor) via email. Well anything could happens...finger crossed

Have you received AOR yet?
Only an e-mail from Centralized-Intake-Office@cic.gc.ca asking for Police certificate from Colombia. On the email we have UCI and application number. In CGKEy it says application status says: "We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you."... It seems we have skipped the AOR, or, this must act as the AOR since we have app and UCI #
