I got my PR in November 2017. I did not go to Canada and got married in May 2018 after which I applied my husband's dependent visa. I submitted the application after getting email from the embassy with desired documents on 27th July 2018 through express entry. My visa got expired on 24th August 2018 but did not hear any update from embassy. My consultant told me that once you are married and haven't done country in even once, Canada doesn't allow you without your souse. And now its been more than 3 months.
How much time will it take more for embassy to grant visa?

So you never did soft landing in Canada ? What do you mean by dependent visa? You added your husband to your existing PR application ?

Your consultant is right. Because your marital status changed before you did your landing, your CoPR is no longer valid.
You just submitted documents for your spouse in July, after you received your CoPR. So it's still going to take some time for them to process spouse background checks, before they re-issue visas for both of you, as a married couple.

Still any idea how much time, because I have resigned from my job and getting kind of restless

I cannot tell you how long, there is no sure way of knowing. It depends on spouse background check depth.
The only way to know at what stage it may be, order your GCMS notes to see what's going on in your application.

But here's a question out of curiosity. If I may. Why didn't you do your landing when you got PR?

I was in relationship before and we couldn't decide what to do as my husband has no family and i didn't want to leave him alone so we got married. And now it's been 6 months n no reply from embassy
