new update : 4 months ago they asked us for the syrian police record that is almost impossible to provide and we explained it to them

today we received a new request guess what ? the police record of syria .......

How long does it take to get an appointment from Edmonton office? I called Cic on 30th July. They told me the office will contact me in 6-8 weeks. Any experience? I am June 2017 and staying in Canada.

today we received a new request guess what ? the police record of syria .......

It seems you can apply for a record using these steps.

If you explained you couldn't get a police record and they have sent you the request again then you can have to get one as it appears obtaining one is possible following the instructions in the link.

the website i like it because the last update for having a police record for syria is 2009....

and they say you may contact the embassies..

maybe the only option they told me is to have a lawyer in syria or go in syria lol

Urgent help needed.
I am at the Vancouver airport, and I got through the immigration process.
I just realised they didnt ask me if I want to declare anything. I bought jewellery and ill bring in future more than 300k dollars.
If I dont declare it now , ill have to pay tax later, right ?

My husbands application was received on June 29, 2017
Started processing Sept 22, 2017.
June 18, 2018 they requested another police clearance certificate and Schedule A and travel history.
Received pre arrival letter June 18, 2018.
Have sent all the required documents and status is still in process. No decision made yet or request for passport
LVO.

Received request for passport on July 24, 2018.
Now waiting for CoPR to come. was received on July 26, 2018

To give you an update (yes long time ago)

IRCC few weeks ago asked us for the syrian police record, and few days ago i sent an email saying that i didnt like the situation and how ircc asked us something that they already asked us in the past, that was to dfficult to obtain.

We receive a call this morning from the bogota office saying to send the passport before friday at the bogota office hope its the end

Hi I just called cic today put in my application number and my husband date of birth and a automated system has told me about my application it says that medical have passed and no need for interview the only thingthat runed my day is that it says that they haven’t started the background check does anyone know how long we have to wait please and thank you
