Hi there, everyone.we have a problem i wonder if anyone can help us please, my question is, regarding me and my fiance, she visit me here in Sweden she is a Canadian Citizen we being contacting almost 2 yrs , finally she got here in Sweden to meet with me , we been together 17 days here in Sweden , she went back to Canada before two months which was exactly last April 2018,thank to Allah she got pregnant ,
she is positive , she need to sponsor me , but i don't have permit resident yet in Sweden, we confused we don't know what to do, we really appreciate if anyone there can help us at least some idea please.

thanks

Congrats......on the pregnancy......

A Canadian could sponsor their spouse or common-law partner as Permanent Resident (PR) in Canada through either the Outland or Inland Spousal Sponsorship........Outland - the person been sponsored is living outside Canada......and ..Inland - the person been sponsored is living inside Canada.

Your resident status in Sweden will not be a barrier for spousal or common-law partner sponsorship........and your sponsorship will be approved based on the proof and genuineness of your marriage/relationship..........refer.....spousal sponsorship guide and checklist .

You either have to be legally married or be in a common-law relationship which you have been living together for at least 12 consecutive months for your Canadian fiance to sponsor you as PR in Canada.

If you are married or common-law partner, you could submit Outland sponsorship application which is processed while you reside outside Canada.

If you are married or common-law partner,......and if you are a citizen of a visa exempt to Canada or have a Canadian visitor visa,........you could travel to Canada and while here submit Inland sponsorship application which is processed while you reside inside Canada.....and could apply for Work Permit with your inland sponsorship.

You have been contacting for almost 2 yrs.....but to considered common-law partner, you must have lived together for at least 12 consecutive months.

Spousal Sponsorship forms, guide and checklist.

How can my common-law partner and I prove we have been together for 12 months?

You are not a permanent resident in Sweden......that's not a problem for sponsorship......your residency status in Sweden will not be a barrier.......if you were to apply for sponsorship from Sweden (outland sponsorship).

You and your fiance have to be legally married or are common-law partner for spousal sponsorship.

You are not married and have not lived together for at least 12 consecutive months to meet common-law partner requirement.........so maybe you consider these options;

1.) You could apply for Canada visitor visa.......come live with you fiance in Canada........marry her or live as common-law partner for at least 12 months......then apply for Inland Sponsorship PR with Work Permit.

2.) You remain in Sweden.........your Canadian fiance comes to Sweden.......you both get married or live as common-law partner for at least 12 months........regardless of your resident status in Sweden.......your Canadian spouse sponsor you for PR.

3.) You apply individually for PR through other Canada immigration programs like Express Entry, PNP, etc.

None of this will help. You need to apply using the spousal sponsorship process. DNA tests or the birth of a child change nothing.
