I would like to seek answer for those who has knowledge or experience same as my current situation.
I am currently in canada as a visitor holding trv valid till 2021, I got a 6 months duration to stay in canada which was about to expire on nov. 5.
I have received a positive LMIA approval under live in caregiver, and advised by my consultant to go to the border and get a work permit.
I have prepared the ff. documents with me which are
1.Copy of approved lmia
1. medical
2. job contract signed by emoloyer and me
3. CPR and first aid certificate
4. ielts band score 6.5
5. resume
6. diploma
7. bank statement
8. passport with visa
when I went to montana border. the officer advise me that i have to apply for my work permit to IRCC as live in caregiver is not included from the positions whom their allowed to give a work permit at the border, although the officer was kind enough to stamp my passport and allowed me to stay in canada for another 6 month till april 2019.
My question is how can I apply a work permit online outside canada while im inside canada?
I tried applying it online but its not allowing me to go through the process of uploading documents as i have to choose a vac office outside canada while infact my current location is inside canada .
I have cancelled my previous consultant as they keep asking money and advicing wrong information anyway.
please help.
