It usually takes 1-2 weeks to get CoPR back, if there are not any delays for any reason (like we are seeing the Canada post strike now)
But I am not sure about the number of days we get for landing- will be a minimum of 30 days to 6 months is my guess, but definitely need somebody's advise on it. If for some reason you are not able to do landing in the given time period you can always contact CIC with a valid reason proof and ask for extension.
Thank you so much for your answers. I wish you the best of luck and I look forward to hearing that you received PPR :D

Good day,

Just wanted to share with you some info. I applied July 10, 2017. Just spoke with an agent he told me that my application is still under security check and that it is within normal timeline. He said to contact them in December if I do not hear from them till then. I asked what are the chances that I will get my PPR next month, he said it’s hard to say but in December there should be some progress.....

P.S. I really hoped to get PPR this month or November at least. I have a feeling that I will only get it in January, given that December is a holiday season etc

What do you think?

Hey Julia,
Don't worry, you should get PPR soon. When it comes to security, CIC customer service agents are not much sure, as it is handled by CBSA. I have seen in previous threads that they called cic with a response that security not started but they get PPR within a week. So keep your fingers crossed. I wish it does not take long for you. Don't be discouraged!

Like he said & from what I have been observing on this thread and other threads, there is no certainty. Although they seem to process it by application received date, all cases are different, it depends on how well-prepared your documents were, how many countries you have been to before Canada, how many dependents you have, how fast the visa office that process your applications work, etc. There are just so many factors that affected how fast your application will be processed. That is why some people in July already got PPR and some in May or June are still waiting. All we can do is hope and follow their instructions (call them in December to check if you have not received PPR). I have been watching this thread and other threads and tbh, the more I read the more worried I become. But I just can't stop reading lol. Hopefully, this can somehow help you with the wait, we are all on the same boat.

Hey, have you got your ppr?!
Not yet, I think this week and next week will be clearer to me whether or not I will receive PPR soon since the first half of July applicants received MR 2 months earlier than the 2nd half. I saw some rare cases where one applicant in August and one applicant in Sept already got PPR a day or 2 ago (but I havent heard anything from other August or September applicants)
