I'm in a tricky situation, I have been working in BC for the past year and a half on a IEC visa from the UK. I am trying to get PR but unfortunately am short a few points to get invited. ( I have a job, and a permanent job offer but my understanding is without a LMIA ( which I never got as my IEC is an open work permit ) I cannot claim the points for the job offer.
So instead I'm trying to scrap as many points as I can, but unfortunately my IEC visa will expire before I get all the documents I need back.
I was wondering if it expires and I leave the country, can I remain in the pool and update my account once I have the new info? Or do you have to be in the country with a valid visa to go the Express entry route?
