My cousion would like to visit her sister who is PR of Canada. My cousion is single and working full time in a well known organization (current org. - 6 months, prev. org. - 3 years, total time in job - 3.5 years). Her parents applied for tourist visa few months back but for some reason they have not travelled yet. My cousion is planning to visit her sister during Christmas Holidays. Previously she has travelled to europe for 1 month (business visit). Can she apply even when her parents have not travelled yet?

Her application will be counted separate. There is no interconnection between parents and her application here. She can apply and travel individually.

Good Luck

Okay. But since her sister will be the one inviting her, can it raise any flag that her sister had also invited her parents just 3 months ago?

No red flags.

Her sister must prove she has exceptionally strong reasons to return to her home country at the end of a short visit

Thanks bryanna. Can you please suggest how to show strong ties. We are thinking of following;
  • Letter from current company mentioning about vacation and 2 weeks visit to Canada? and also employment dates?
  • Previous company record of employment (showing employment dates)
  • Pay slips
  • IT Return
  • Bank statement
  • Passport copy (bio page and any visa stamps)
  • Parents Passport copy (bio pages only)
Not sure about these;
  • Affidavit?
  • House is in parent's name so I don't think it will add any value?
Can you please advise.

Her employment is her only strong tie. I would not recommend applying with only these documents. Your cousin must prove her employment is stable (she is a permanent employee, not on probation) + she has compelling work commitments to return to.

She must scan/include the Schengen visa + include a 2-3 line explanation for that visit.

Hopefully, her job responsibilities are unique + her salary is financially lucrative for her to return to her home country.

1. Financial investments? Both locked-in or liquid.
2. Down payment for a property?
3. Do her parents depend on her financially or for their well-being?
4. Credit cards?
5. Any personal commitments to return to after her visit?
6. Does she volunteer for charity or social causes?

Parents Passport copy (bio pages only)
As she is not a minor, these documents are not required.

She must include an invitation letter from her sister + the sister's documents + birth certificates of her sister and herself.

Affidavit?
Does not work.

It's pointless to submit her parents' property papers. It won't work
