im a tax accountant in US..with US education and experience in to taxation..would there be any taxation jobs in Toronto for my background?

There should be some US tax jobs at Indeed and other career sites. But if you are also familiar with Canadian taxes this should open more opportunities for you as you can deal with companies doing business at both sides of the border.

Salary-wise be prepared to take a discount for moving to Canada

You need to upgrade and get any degree or certification with Canadian regulatory body to improve your chances.
