I have 49.54% in BA Hons. I got acceptances from Trent University and Seneca college for postgraduate certificate programs. Also got waitlisted for Centennial.
If your profile is decent enough without looking at your academic record you have a shot at getting an acceptance.
Apply for a course that is relevant to your academic history.
Goodluck!

did you also get a visa? With a 49% CIC may not feel like you are a good candidate for a study permit.

Can't imagine York will be possible with a 49%. Maybe centennial if it is not a popular program. Canadian students would find it difficult to get admission to most colleges or universities. Under 50% is considered a failing grade in Canada. There is different standards for international students.

applied for visa just few hours ago. I have more than decent profile, just this percentage in my undergraduate might be prove to be the hinderance in my visa. Many education consultancies that I consulted with have the view that visa officers take each visa case holistically and that their focus isn't entirely on GPA in previous academics. Regardless of this, I'll need to wait and see the result !

49% will be very tough to get visa but let's see. If you have a strong LOE you might get through. Good luck!!

Great TOEFL and IELTS score, convincing SOP, decent travel history, work experience, supporting financial documents beside the required ones.

Thanks a lot, but is IELTS mandatory for the case my all studies done in English speaking country? I studies bachelor & masters in pure English and am working as a college tutor, using only English as medium of communication. Will it be a hindrance?
