Dear friends, please advise!

I was in common law relationship, we applied for immigration in 2014, my ex partner was the primary applicant and I was in Canada as sponsored spouse, but 2 years later I had to leave to my country while pr was still in process. Unfortunately, it was the only option for me that time because my ex was abusing me. When I left, two month later he got a medical request and asked to come back and do the medical because he was afraid he will get a refusal on his pr application. I made an appointment in my home country. But I did not go because I thought even if I do it I won’t be able to come back and live another two years with him.
I knew he hired a layer to help him with pr. He got pr later. I was asking him what happened to my status, how did he took me off from the application, but I did not get any answer. I still don’t know what happened to my part of application.
Now I wonder, If I will apply for immigration will it affect my application that I did not do the medicals back in 2016. I guess, he get an interview with the officer when he got a pr, and I doesn't know what info he gave them about all what happened.
It bother me a lot. Because I want to go back to canada and ready to apply but afraid will I have any opportunity to get a pr. Please give any suggestions. Thank you.

Once your relationship fell apart and you were no longer a couple it would have been possible for you ex to remove you from the application. So it makes sense that he was able to get PR without you. There is nothing stopping you from applying for PR on your own through an economic immigration stream like Express Entry. Good luck.
