Well... I'm not sure about that. I sent them my eTA copy for sub evidence for my staying here cuz I'm from visa exempt country.

AOR DATED AUG 20 but i am applying from Quebec so I guess that’s why coz they ask me to apply for CSQ i just got last October 4. I hope i will get my OWP before my visa expires.. i am very nervous about it..

U gotta hear from them very soon. Just dont forget to check your cic often. Good luck for ya!

I'm in the same boat, I'm Aug. 13 applicant and I'm still not able to link OWP. Although, people who applied after me successfully linked their OWP app even at the same day they received AOR. My app was not returned though and I paid all the necessary fees. I'll keep trying to reach IRCC on the phone.

Owp approved today, the July applicants, stay positive! Your owp should be on it’s way! Again, no email has been received still, and I couldn’t link up my owp until today! Suggest to keep checking and checking from cic online! Or keep trying to link up your online account.

Owp approved today, the July applicants, stay positive! Your owp should be on it’s way! Again, no email has been received still, and I couldn’t link up my owp until today! Suggest to keep checking and checking from cic online! Or keep trying to link up your online account.

Congrats!!! As for us, we called CIC today and the agent told us that nope, no one’s opened our OWP app yet and nope it’s not even being looked at. She told us that yes it’s in the system but nope, no one has touched it. The process hasn’t even begun. She then told us that it’s gonna be probably looked at by November. Agent also said that it’s very uncommon for OWP to get approved before 4months. I don’t see how’s that the case when almost all of July applicants have been approved, even those who submitted after us.

Sucks to be us, I guess.

I think these agents, a mean some are clueless... all they do is check the account online as we have been doing in our cic account and then say whatever suit... from what you are saying they don’t even know the rules. So far work permit hasn’t gone over 4 months then technically we are still within processing times. Even if it’s after 4 months calling agent is cluesless as I will sugest to launch a complain through ur account. I also called and all they said was received on July 13.... so have to wait..,. This info can be seen online. Some are just not helpful at all

I read from some earlier threads that it literally took only one day to get through the “not yet reviewed” status to reviewing and approved, all happened within the same day! So for my case as well! Up until yesterday, I didn’t even know if my owp app had been looked at yet because I couldn’t even linked up my cic account nor to reach to the cic agent by phone.
Just hang in there! I believe it won’t take long from now!

To link your OWP : category:temporary residence subcategory: work permit and extension use family name given name and date of birth for personal info used passport and lastly select open.. it works for me.. hope it works for u as well. Good luck

What I appreciate most about today is how you’ve been very encouraging and been trying to help lighten my mood. Hello - a quick question for those receiving their OWPs... did you get Sponsor approval FIRST or OWP first?

I'm an August applicant and have my AOR but wondering if I should be expecting my sponsor's approval next or my OWP next? Does OWP depend on sponsors approval? Thanks
