hi everyone,

please help. i was sponsored by my husband a few years ago and now have my permanent resident visa in my passport. however, a few months ago we separated. can i still go to canada without having to live w/ my estranged husband?

If you are recently been approved for PR but haven't landed yet then I suggest you do not go to Canada without inform IRCC about your separation. Because since you were sponsored by your husband but is separated, you are no longer valid for PR. You must not land without inform IRCC about your change in martial status otherwise it would be considered misrepresentation and IRCC can still revoke your PR if they find out about this.
